57 Media Intro

57 Productions is engaged in a growing media programme, taking in radio, film & tv - & now special online productions, i.e. www.ipoems.org.uk & www.poetryvideojukebox.com

As an agency 57 represents a wide-range of writers & performers, especially to radio, in a wide variety of formats, including performances, interviews, discussions & commissions. The BBC, independent, community & international radio are also increasingly drawing upon the 57 audio-catalogue in arts, current affairs & other programmes. We aim to link-up to these stations where & when we can

For instance - BBC Radio 2, 3 & 4, plus BBC Radio Five Live & BBC Radio 6 have all drawn upon the 57 catalogue - & Oneword radio have broadcasted original works recorded by 57 – in particular from the CDs Poetry in Performance Volumes 1 & 2 – & as featured on the poetry jukebox

Oneword is the world's first radio station dedicated to literature, drama, comedy & discussion - you can hear it from 6am to midnight 7 days a week on digital radio, Sky (channel 877) & on the internet – www.oneword.co.uk

The poets featured included:
Michael Rosen, Jean 'Binta' Breeze, Owen Sheers
Mimi Khalvati, Brendan Cleary, Debjani Chatterjee
Zena Edwards, Patience Agbabi , Francesca Beard
Neil Rollinson, Moniza Alvi, Matthew Sweeney

Furthermore 57 is also working on the co-production of 3 documentary films - which we sample on this site:
